1 Independence Plaza #140, Homewood, AL, 35209 Prefer ARRT Radiography Certification Lumexa Imaging partner, American Health Imaging, is currently hiring for a Full-Time X-Ray Technologist Aide to work weekdays 8am-5pm at our Homewood outpatient imaging center. The tech aide will be responsible for providing assistance to all Technologists in the center in areas that allow the Technologist to maintain an on-time schedule and run the diagnostic imaging scanning area in an orderly fashion.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Running IVs - venipuncture Demonstrates the company's values in daily activities Greets and escorts patients to changing room; briefly explains procedure Provides pre-exam screening and instructions Assists patients on and/or off table when requested by technologist Supports technologists throughout scan and contrast administration, as required Manages post-scan patient hand-off Ensures efficient, friendly, and smooth patient experience for all patients who enter the center Ensures smooth patient throughput of the entire center and all modalities Monitors center modality schedules Adjusts patients schedule when necessary and keeping all techs informed of any changes Prepares room set up between patients, including putting proper coil on table, putting previous coil away and changing table sheet Helps the technologist stay on time by having the next patient ready before the current patient is ready to get off the table Provides front-end coverage as needed Attends trainings to stay up to date on best practices and certifications

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Previous Phlebotomy experience preferred Knowledge of and adherence to company policies and protocols Knowledge of and adherence to HIPAA and safety guidelines Knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy Knowledge of and adherence to ALARA principles Knowledge of basic level computer skills Skill in organizing and prioritizing work and following assignments through to completion Skill in written and verbal communication Ability to work independently and in a team environment Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet established deadlines Ability to be flexible and adaptable to constant change Ability to effectively handle details with accuracy Ability to manage schedule to ensure work is completed Ability to deliver high-quality customer service to internal and external customers by communicating with integrity and compassion Ability to resolve service recovery issues and understand when to escalate to the next level Ability to convey complex subject matter clearly and engagingly Ability to remain calm in difficult situations

Education and Experience:

ARRT Radiography Certification Preferred High School Diploma or equivalent required. Radiology Technology student or 12 months previous experience in diagnostic radiology or other imaging modality preferred Certified Medical Assistant or Nursing Assistant or any previous patient care/medical care role Knowledge of medical terminology

Physical Requirements:

Heavy lifting: up to 100 lbs. maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying objects weighing up to 50 lbs. Must be able to stand, stoop and lift and walk without restrictions.
