Job Description
Primary Responsibilities/Requirements:
Assisting techs with exams to include, but not limited to: Transporting patients to and from the department Displaying x-ray exams to be performed on the digital system Displaying completed x-ray exams in patient rooms Help with positioning patients with mobility issues Performing basic x-ray exams under the supervision of a registered tech after sufficient on-the-job training and/or competencies. Clerical duties include, but not limited to: Basic triage/exam ordering in the EMR system Importing exams from outside CDs to the PACs system Clearing "extenders" from PACs system Burning CDs for patients / other facilities Assist other team members as needed Travel locally to satellite offices as schedule requires Friendly and Professional patient communication when escorting patients to and from exam rooms and during x-ray exam Transporting patients to and from the department Displaying x-ray exams to be performed on the digital system Displaying completed x-ray exams in patient rooms Help with positioning patients with mobility issues Performing basic x-ray exams under the supervision of a registered tech after sufficient on-the-job training and/or competencies. Basic triage/exam ordering in the EMR system Importing exams from outside CDs to the PACs system Clearing "extenders" from PACs system Burning CDs for patients / other facilities Must also possess: HS Diploma/GED required Ability to communicate effectively with patients, TOC physicians and staff Ability to work under pressure, multitask and meet deadlines Outstanding organizational, verbal, and writing skills Independent, self-starting, and highly motivated Strong patient care and interpersonal skills Proven positive, "teamwork" attitude and work history Minimum one-year full time clinical experience in healthcare preferredPhysical Demands:
Must be able to use arms, hands, and fingers skillfully Frequent moving, pushing, pulling of heavy patients and/or equipment Constant standing and walking Must be agile and able to work efficiently in space limited areas Consistently work at a productive pace Must readily adapt to frequent treatment schedule changes High School Graduate or better.
