Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in radiologic science from an accredited institution as approved and accepted by the University of South Alabama and two years of clinical experience as a Radiologic Technologist. Preferred Qualifications ARRT registry certification in an imaging modality is preferred. Job Description Summary The University of South Alabama's department of Radiological Sciences is seeking to hire a Radiologic Teaching Technologist. Interested candidates should apply to be considered.
Essential Functions These are the job duties required of the position. Essential Functions Supervises radiologic technology students in the clinical setting.
Observes and evaluates the clinical performance of radiologic technology students.
Ensures students utilize appropriate exposure factors to ensure quality radiographic images demonstrating correct contrast, density/brightness, magnification, and distortion.
Ensures safe radiographic measures compatible with ALARA are followed.
Ensures safe patient handling techniques are followed.
Provides input to student's clinical grades.
Serves on the department's admission committee.
Travels to various clinics as needed.
Regular and prompt attendance.
Ability to work schedule as defined and overtime as required.
Related duties as required.
