Join a dynamic 50-149-bed hospital in Arcata, CA, seeking an experienced MRI Technologist to provide precise diagnostic imaging and compassionate patient care. Step into a vital role where your technical expertise helps physicians diagnose and treat patients accurately every day.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Perform MRI Exams:

Operate MRI scanners to produce high-quality diagnostic images according to physician protocols.

Safety Screening:

Conduct strict safety interviews to screen patients and staff for magnetic hazards (implants, pacemakers, metal) before entering the MRI zone.

Patient Care:

Position patients accurately using specialized coils, explain procedures to reduce anxiety, and monitor comfort throughout the scan.

Contrast Administration:

Establish peripheral IV access to safely inject contrast media when required.

Quality Control:

Review completed scans for clarity and position accuracy, troubleshooting artifacts before sending images to the radiologist.

Documentation & Compliance:

Maintain accurate records in PACS/EHR and sanitize equipment between patients to meet California healthcare safety standards.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

ARRT / ARMRIT preferred. 3 years of relevant experience required. BLS certification A second modality preferred. Proof of negative TB screen within 12 months of contract starting date.
