FULL/LIMITED X-RAY TECHNICIAN

ABOUT THE POSITION

We are seeking a reliable, professional, and patient-focused Full/Limited X-Ray Technician to join our urgent care team. The ideal candidate is comfortable working in a fast-paced clinical environment, providing excellent patient care, supporting providers, and maintaining efficient patient flow. This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, teamwork, and the ability to work effectively with patients, providers, insurance companies, and ancillary departments.

SCHEDULE & HOURS

10-hour shifts under an alternative workweek schedule Schedule and hours may vary based on staffing and patient volume Management may adjust schedules based on operational needs Overtime is paid after 40 hours in a workweek, with applicable double-time provisions for qualifying hours Two paid 10-minute rest breaks and unpaid 30-minute meal periods are provided for 10-hour shifts, consistent with company policy and applicable law Employees must follow all meal/rest period and timesheet documentation requirements

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Patient Care & Coordination Obtain and document patient vital signs Obtain and accurately document the patient's chief complaint and history Update demographics, medications, allergies, and other medical information Triage patients and assist with maintaining efficient patient flow Prepare patients, equipment, instruments, and supplies for examinations and procedures Assist providers with patient care and clinical procedures Provide patients with appropriate educational materials and instructions Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the medical record Clinical Duties Administer medications as ordered Perform phlebotomy Perform 12-lead EKGs Assist with medical procedures Gather and communicate laboratory results as directed by the provider Follow up on diagnostic testing and referrals Assist with prescription processing according to clinic protocol Schedule and coordinate specialist appointments when requested Insurance & Authorization Obtain and update insurance information Verify insurance eligibility and benefits Obtain insurance authorizations when required Assist with an efficient billing process Limited Scope X-Ray (X-Ray Technicians Only) Explain procedures and answer patient questions within the scope of practice Prepare and appropriately position patients for imaging Perform X-ray examinations as ordered Follow radiation and X-ray safety protocols Maintain optimal image quality for provider interpretation Provide reassurance and support throughout the imaging procedure Communication & Documentation Communicate professionally and courteously with patients, families, providers, insurance companies, and ancillary departments Accurately document patient and staff communications Protect patient privacy and maintain HIPAA confidentiality at all times Clinic Operations Maintain a clean, safe, and organized front office, clinical area, waiting room, and restrooms Monitor and stock medical and office supplies Notify management when supplies or medications need to be ordered Use clinic computers, phones, fax systems, and other equipment for business purposes Maintain professional appearance and behavior at all times Perform other duties as assigned by management

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

High school diploma or equivalent Medical Assistant certification Current CPR certification Basic computer and typing skills Working knowledge of medical terminology

For X-Ray Technicians:

Current Limited X-Ray Technician certificate

For X-Ray Technicians:

Digital Radiography certification

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Bilingual, particularly Spanish-speaking ACLS certification Previous urgent care, emergency medicine, or outpatient clinical experience Experience with electronic medical records Strong customer service and communication skills

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

The position requires the ability to: Sit, stand, and walk for extended periods during a 12-hour shift Frequently stoop, kneel, squat, bend, and move throughout the clinic Type and write for extended periods Lift, push, and pull up to 20 pounds continuously Occasionally lift, push, or pull up to 60 pounds Safely perform duties associated with patient care and clinical procedures Pre-employment and/or fitness-for-duty physical examinations may be required in accordance with company policy and applicable law.

Reliable attendance and punctuality are essential. Employees who are unable to report for a scheduled shift, arrive on time, or complete a shift must notify management directly by voice call as soon as possible. Employees are expected to follow the company's attendance, call-off, scheduling, and timekeeping policies.
