Under the general direction of the Manager, Radiology and the immediate supervision of the Lead MRI Technologist, performs imaging procedures at a technical level not requiring direct supervision. Performs a variety of procedures that require independent judgment, ingenuity and initiative. The MRI Technologist will assume responsibility and accountability for a designated area.EDUCATION / TRAINING / EXPERIENCE

Three years' experience as an MRI Technologist in an acute care facilityLICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS

Current license issued byARRT Current CPR Certification Desired :
Acquired certification in specialized area from a recognized certificate agency if available ARRT Advanced Level MRI Certification Fluoroscopy Permit issued by the State of California Current full Certificate of Radiologic Technology issued by the Department of Health Services, State of California (CRT)SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE / ABILITIES
Demonstrates a thorough knowledge of human structure and function, patient care, positioning, principles of radiographic exposure, quality assurance, radiation physics, radiation protection, radiobiology, cross-sectional anatomy and specialized techniques as required for a MRI Technologist. Must be intelligent and self motivated. Excellent communication skills and problem solving techniques are required. Must have the ability to motivate, delegate and analyze information. Must be able to fulfill the essential functions of the position.
