Preferred Job Description We are seeking an experienced Diagnostic Technologist

• Outpatient to perform diagnostic imaging procedures in an outpatient clinical setting.

The Diagnostic Technologist is responsible for properly positioning patients for X-ray examinations, operating radiographic equipment, processing diagnostic images, and documenting images and information in the PACS system. The technologist will perform imaging procedures independently at a level that does not require direct supervision while maintaining a high standard of patient care, safety, and professionalism. The Diagnostic Technologist will also provide basic patient care under the supervision of the clinic nurse and may perform selected patient care procedures in accordance with the facility's Patient Care Standards Manual. The technologist may also float to Main Radiology as needed. Key Responsibilities Position patients appropriately for diagnostic X-ray examinations, including: Chest Hand Wrist Forearm Elbow Knee Foot Ankle Operate X-ray equipment safely and effectively. Perform diagnostic imaging procedures independently within the scope of training, licensure, and facility standards. Process and document images in the PACS system. Ensure accurate imaging documentation and maintain appropriate patient records. Provide basic patient care under the supervision of the clinic nurse. Obtain and document patient vital signs as required. Place patients in appropriate examination rooms. Obtain patient specimens, including blood draws when qualified and authorized. Prepare patients for evaluation by the clinician. Assist clinicians with patient care and selected procedures as directed. Follow applicable patient care standards, safety procedures, and facility policies. Maintain a clean, orderly, and well-stocked work area. Ensure necessary supplies and equipment are available and properly maintained. Float to Main Radiology as needed to support department operations. Maintain patient privacy, dignity, and safety at all times. Required Qualifications & Credentials Must have all required credentials listed below: Current full Certificate of Radiologic Technology (CRT) issued by the Department of Health Services, State of California. Current CPR Certification . Current California Fluoroscopy Permit . Current ARRT certification/registration . Previous experience using

EPIC EMR

. Strong clinical, technical, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to work independently while maintaining patient safety and quality standards. Preferred Qualifications Previous traveler/contract experience preferred . Experience working in an outpatient diagnostic imaging environment. Experience floating between outpatient imaging and main radiology departments.
