Salary dependent on professional and teaching experience $36.43/hr.
  • $63.
14/hr. plus 25% preparation time (minimum hourly rate)

Tuesdays and Thursdays, some Saturdays 4:00 PM

LOCATION

THE POSITION
Instruct high school and adult students in competency-based EMT classes. Under the direction of the Administrator of Educational Programs, plan, operate, and evaluate learning activities in EMT. Instruction will include lectures, demonstrations, and hands-on activities.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Instruct high school students and adults in a classroom setting.
  • Maintain accurate student records including grades, progress reports and attendance.
  • Assist in curriculum development and/or revision.
  • Develop lesson plans aligned with approved course outline.
  • Participate in annual advisory committee meetings, staff meetings and professional development activities.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Firefighter, Firefighter/Paramedic, Paramedic or EMT required.
  • Must possess or be willing to acquire NAEMSE Certification.
  • Three (3) years of related work experience or one (1) year related work experience and 48 semester hours of related postsecondary vocational training.
  • Possess or be eligible for a Career Technical Education (CTE) Credential.
  • High School diploma or equivalent
