Radiologic Technologist - Urgent Care Torrance Memorial Physician Network El Segundo, CA Job Details Full-time $31.63 - $50.13 an hour 1 day ago Benefits Health insurance Dental insurance Flexible spending account Paid time off Employee assistance program Vision insurance Life insurance Qualifications Radiology Pediatric radiology Diagnostic radiology ARRT (R) Certification Stocking ARRT Certification Associate's degree Full Job Description New Radiology Technologist Grads encouraged to apply The role of the X-Ray Tech (Rad Tech) is to provide outstanding support to physicians and healthcare providers while providing exceptional care to patients and customers within the clinical scope The Rad Tech performs a variety of patient care related tasks including preparation of patients, performance of Diagnostic Orthopedic Exams or views and completion of appropriate documentation. Rad Techs are responsible for ensuring the smooth operations in the fast-paced environment of the clinic with the goal of a positive patient experience with every encounter. Primary duties include but are not limited to: Prepares patients for radiologic procedures. Must demonstrate a caring and professional manner to make patients feel comfortable Performs radiographic exams under a variety of conditions for patients ranging from pediatric, geriatric and gurney patients using Digital XR and PACs system Reviews and QAs radiologic images. Upload studies to PACs system. Burning images on CD's for patients if needed Obtains quality diagnostic radiographic studies as requested by physicians. (As quickly as exam/patient condition will allow. Keeping a repeat rate of 5% or less.) Takes x-rays following established procedures for patient care and safety Keeps patients informed of wait times and manages visit expectations Works with team rooming patients/escorting patients to/from exam room to x-ray suite as needed Ensures that all equipment is following state regulations, is maintained in good working order and clean Inventories and stocks radiologic supplies
Position Requirements:
Education:
- Diploma from an accredited x-ray technician program.
- Registration as an American Registered Radiologic Technologist (ARRT)
- State of CA License Radiologic Technologist and CDPH Certificatio
- Certification from CDPH as a
