COMPUTED TOMOGRAPHY TECH
Job Summary:
Operates CT equipment to produce diagnostic cross-sectional images of patients. Performs CT and other imaging procedures, including general radiography and fluoroscopy.
Education & Experience:
Associate's Degree in Radiologic Technology (Preferred)
Licenses & Certifications:
ARRT R.T.
(R)(CT) or R.T. (R) certification (Required) Radiologic Technologist (RT) license in state of practice (Required in CA) Advanced CT certification (Required in OR/HI, Preferred in CA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (Required) Fluoroscopy license (Required in CA when operating fluoroscopy equipment) Venipuncture/IV certification (Required)
Key Responsibilities:
Performs CT and other diagnostic imaging procedures. Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates patient care. Produces sagittal and coronal reformatted images for radiologist interpretation. Transfers images through PACS and teleradiology systems. Maintains accurate patient records, files, and billing information. Maintains patient image and data confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA. Performs equipment maintenance and calibration. Manages imaging supply inventory. Performs other job-related duties as assigned. #Workwolf
