  • Job Summary and Responsibilities
  • As our Radiologic Technologist (Rad Tech), you will be pivotal in producing diagnostic images that enable Radiologists to accurately diagnose and manage patient conditions.
Every day you will perform a variety of imaging examinations, including X-rays, ultrasound, diagnostic fluoroscopy, CT/CAT scans, and MRIs, while actively contributing to a positive patient experience through direct interaction. To be successful in this role, you will deeply understand diagnostic imaging's critical importance, encompassing expertise in workflow, patient positioning, and capturing precise results essential for timely and accurate diagnoses. + Ensures a professional and responsive atmosphere by greeting patients, visitors, staff, and physicians promptly and courteously. Refers to each individual by name when appropriate. Screens individuals by requesting to see identification or visitor pass. +
Image Quality:
Consistently produces quality images within hospital guidelines and department standards (i.e. patient safety, repeat rate, exam protocols, film processing, inc.) +
Documentation:
Accurately completes documentation according to hospital and department guidelines, including exam performed, billing, film labeling, computer entry, etc. Performs other clerical duties as necessary (e.g. login of patients, filing films, etc.) +
Competency/Training:
Maintains clinical competency assuming responsibility for upgrading skills through participation in in-service education and other continuing education activities. Participates in the training of departmental personnel and students. +
Infection Control:
Assists MD and other staff in preparing for and performing procedures consistently following sterile technique, infection control guidelines and department standards. +
Workflow:
Evaluates personal and departmental work volume and flow to ensure efficient departmental patient care. Prioritizes work according to urgency and resources. Responds effectively in emergency situations. We are offering a $15,000 Sign-On Bonus to new hires who meet the eligibility requirements.

  • + Must have satisfactorily completed a formal radiologic technology training program accredited through the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT) and the California Department of Public Health, Radiation Health Branch (CDPH-RHB).
+ 4 years experience as a Radiologic Technologist working in and proficient in 1 advanced modality or 3 years experience as a Radiologic Technologist and working and proficient in 2 advanced modalities, one of which must be CT or Mammography. + Active Medical Radiographer license in the State of California + Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association + Registered Technologist Radiography (ARRT) + Fluoroscopy permit + In addition to Radiography licensure in CT, must be competent to work in an additional modality: + MRI, Mammography, IR Where You'll Work Founded in 1950, Dignity Health - Sequoia Hospital is a 208-bed, acute care, nonprofit hospital located in Redwood City, California.
