The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating X-ray equipment to assist in the diagnosis of various medical conditions. This position offers the opportunity to work in diverse healthcare settings, including clinics, hospitals, and outpatient facilities.
Responsibilities:
  • Perform diagnostic imaging procedures using X-ray equipment in accordance with radiation safety guidelines.
  • Adhere to ALARA, ensuring patient safety is a priority.
  • Knowledge of x-ray procedures, positing, equipment and protocols.
  • Ensure patient comfort and safety during procedures
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to assess and prioritize patient needs
  • Maintain accurate patient records and adhere to data protection regulations
  • Monitor and maintain radiographic equipment for optimal performance
  • Maintain required records, logs and monthly reports, as appropriate.
  • Knowledge and enforcement of infection control and safety procedures.
  • Maintain a neat, clean working environment.
  • Greet patients prepare patients for radiologic procedures, explain procedures to reduce anxiety, enter and validate patient demographics and confirm all ordered exams are completed.
  • Evaluate images for technical quality.
  • Able to push, pull, lift as necessary.
  • Communicate equipment issues to appropriate team members.
  • Provide excellent care and customer service.
  • Adaptable to fast paced work environment
  • Able to cross cover for Medical assistant and front desk
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Skills:
  • Experience working in an Urgent Care Center or similar fast-paced medical environment
  • Proficiency in X-ray imaging techniques for pediatric, adult and geriatric patients
  • Knowledge of urgent care medicine practices and patient care protocols
  • Familiarity with coding and documentation requirements for radiology procedures
  • Understanding human anatomy and physiology to interpret imaging results accurately
  • Ability to work efficiently in outpatient clinics, operating rooms, and other clinical settings
  • Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is preferred This role offers a rewarding opportunity for an X-ray Technician with a passion for delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to accurate medical diagnoses.
