Santa Cruz, CA Full time 2026-7963 Akumin is a leading provider of outpatient radiology and oncology services, partnering with top hospitals and health systems nationwide to deliver advanced diagnostic imaging and exceptional patient care close to home. With a national footprint, cutting-edge technology, and a strong commitment to innovation and patient-centered care, our teams play a vital role in improving outcomes for millions of patients each year. We are currently hiring for an MRI Technologist at our Santa Cruz facility. This will be a full time position. Regional resource responsible for patient safety and the performance of high quality MR studies. Insures effective communication with customers, including radiologists as necessary. In some instances, trains new technologists and/or Patient Coordinators.
- Specific duties include, but are not limited to:
- + Responsible for Patient Safety, including pre-screening for contra-indications, aseptic injection technique, etc. + Produces high quality diagnostic images. + Orders supplies, cleans unit, assist in preparing for transport on a daily basis. + Effectively communicates with customers and/or radiologists. + Trains new technologist and/or PC's
Position Requirements:
- + High School Diploma or Equivalent Experience + Registered Technologists by the ARRT, NMTCB or ARDMS + State License _Licensed Radiologic Technologist or Magnetic Resonance Technologist, if applicable._ + Technologists performing mid-day moves + State license, as required. + CPR certification. + Active state driver's license.
Preferred Requirements:
- + Associate's Degree or Equivalent Experience + Registry in Magnetic Resonance by the ARRT.
- The estimated hourly pay range for this role in California is $61.74 - $73.84. Actual compensation depends on experience, skills, location, and other factors such as internal equity and budget.
