Job Description:
Performs CT and MRI imaging procedures. Assists Radiologists in special procedures such as biopsies. Maintains records of examinations performed. Obtains and documents patient clinical history. Positions patients and equipment to produce accurate images. Administers contrast material for CT and MRI procedures. Monitors patient condition and ensures patient safety and privacy. Performs basic patient care within the scope of practice. Participates in standby call and is available within 30 minutes of notification. Performs equipment quality control and calibrations. Coordinates equipment service and preventative maintenance. Trains new employees and assesses technologist competence. Assists in routine department clerical needs. Performs other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Patient care and communication skills to deal with patients from infant, childhood, adolescent, adult and geriatric age groups [Required] Must be able to use computer system for data entry and retrieval [Required] Basic clerical skills, record keeping, documentation, transfer of images to disk or film and excellent customer service skills [Required]
Education:
Technical/Vocational School [Required]
Field of Study:
Must be a graduate of an approved A.R.R.T. program with current A.R.R.T registration and state license in Radiography.
Work Experience:
2+ CT/MR experience [Required]

Pay Range:
