Job Description

Make a meaningful impact in the lives of young students by providing hands-on behavioral support in Autism Program Classrooms. This contract opportunity, located near West Hartford, CT, offers a dynamic environment where your expertise as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) or experienced Paraprofessional can truly shine. This is a 1-month assignment, covering a critical gap while new hires are onboarded. You'll work onsite for 35 hours per week.
Qualifications:
Active Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification, or
For Paraprofessionals:
Active CT Para Certification and proven experience in Autism Program Classrooms Previous experience working with children aged 5-6 diagnosed with severe Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) Confident assisting with toileting needs and diaper changes Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, specialized program environment Strong commitment to supporting students with unique behavioral needs
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with teachers and specialists to support individualized behavior interventions Implement behavior plans and data collection for progress monitoring Engage students in academic and behavioral tasks as outlined by lead staff Provide personal care support, including toileting and hygiene needs, in a respectful manner Help create a safe, supportive classroom atmosphere for all students Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding student progress
