Job Description

Category Schools - RBT - Registered Behavior Technician Job Type Contract Take your expertise as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to the next level while supporting students in a dynamic educational environment near New Britain, CT. This contract role offers you a chance to collaborate with educators and make a direct impact on students' learning journeys every day. Your background in implementing Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) strategies will be valued as you help foster positive behavioral growth and create supportive classroom experiences. You'll gain hands-on experience working in a school setting while cultivating meaningful, professional relationships with students and staff.
Qualifications & Experience:
Active certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) Previous experience working with children or students, preferably in a school or educational setting Familiarity with implementing behavior intervention plans designed by BCBA or other supervisors Strong communication and observational skills Ability to manage multiple tasks and remain flexible in a fast-paced environment Passion for supporting children with diverse needs
Key Responsibilities:
Provide one-on-one and group behavioral support to students under the direction of supervising staff Accurately collect data and document student progress toward individualized goals Execute individualized treatment plans and behavior strategies as outlined by BCBA supervisors Collaborate with teachers, aides, and related service providers to maintain a positive environment Monitor and assist with crisis intervention and de-escalation, as needed Participate in team meetings and maintain consistent communication with staff Uphold ethical and professional standards at all times Experience firsthand the rewards of seeing your work help students thrive.
