In this vital role, you will operate computed tomography (CT) scanners to produce detailed cross-sectional images of patients' internal structures, supporting accurate diagnosis and treatment planning. Key Responsibilities:
Operate CT imaging equipment to perform diagnostic scans with precision and adherence to established protocols Ensure patient safety by implementing radiation safety procedures and maintaining optimal imaging quality Prepare patients for procedures by explaining the process, positioning them correctly, and addressing concerns compassionately Collaborate with radiologists, emergency room staff, and other healthcare professionals to facilitate diagnostic evaluations Maintain accurate documentation of procedures, images, and patient information in compliance with regulatory standards Assist with advanced imaging techniques such as PET scans, interventional radiology procedures, fluoroscopy, and mammography when required Support emergency room and trauma center teams by providing timely imaging services in urgent care situations Follow aseptic techniques during invasive procedures and ensure the proper operation of all radiologic equipment Participate in ongoing training related to new imaging modalities, radiation safety updates, and clinical best practices Experience Proven experience operating CT scanners within a hospital or outpatient setting Prior exposure to urgent care environments, emergency rooms, or Level I/II trauma centers preferred Hands-on experience with specialized imaging modalities including PET scans, mammography, DEXA scans, nuclear medicine, and fluoroscopy Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and diagnostic radiology principles Familiarity with radiation safety procedures and implementing radiation protection protocols Experience working with radiologic imaging equipment operation across diverse modalities such as X-ray, ultrasound (sonography), interventional radiography, and nuclear medicine Demonstrated ability to perform diagnostic evaluations efficiently while maintaining high standards of patient care Ability to adapt quickly in fast-paced environments requiring precise technical skills and effective communication If you are committed to advancing your career in medical imaging through technical expertise and compassionate patient care, we encourage you to apply.
