Job Description

HCA Healthcare is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Special Procedures Tech to join our skilled team in delivering exceptional, patient-centered care in specialized medical procedures. As a Special Procedures Tech, you will perform a variety of imaging procedures and be responsible for patient safety protocols. You will function as the first line interface with patients in the successful accomplishment of their imaging needs. Responsibilities Perform specialized imaging procedures, including but not limited to, fluoroscopic, CT scans, MRI, and ultrasound in accordance with the prescribed safety procedures. Assist physicians during examinations and procedures, preparing and using the equipment, explaining procedures to patients, and providing them care and support. Maintain patient safety and confidentiality standards at all times. Document and maintain accurate records of procedures conducted and the corresponding results. Regularly inspect and perform necessary maintenance on imaging equipment to ensure operational efficiency. Collaborate with healthcare team members to evaluate the need for patient interventions. Educate patients on pre-procedure and post-procedure care. Required Skills Proficiency in various imaging technologies including MRI, CT, ultrasound, and fluoroscopic procedures. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to handle stressful situations and make informed procedural decisions. High attention to detail and accuracy. Comfortable with using medical software and electronic health records.
