Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Radiologic Technologist Assistant, where your expertise will support high-quality diagnostic imaging and patient care in a fast-paced, state-of-the-art medical environment. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills across various imaging modalities and contributing to accurate diagnoses and effective treatment plans. You will work closely with radiologists, technologists, and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless imaging procedures and exceptional patient experiences. Responsibilities Assist radiologic technologists in preparing patients for a wide range of diagnostic imaging procedures, including X-ray, MRI, CT scans, PET scans, mammography, DEXA scans, sonography, and nuclear medicine studies. Prepare patients for imaging procedures by explaining the process, placing IV's, taking patient history, and applying aseptic techniques to maintain a sterile environment. Maintain detailed records of procedures, patient information, and imaging results in compliance with medical terminology standards and confidentiality regulations. Uphold professionalism through excellent communication with patients of diverse backgrounds, demonstrating empathy and clarity throughout the imaging process. Requirements Basic knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and diagnostic radiology principles. Familiarity with advanced imaging modalities such as PET scan, CT, mammography, DEXA scan, sonography, nuclear medicine, and X-ray procedures. Understanding of aseptic techniques and infection control practices essential for maintaining a sterile environment during invasive or sensitive procedures. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with healthcare teams and educate patients about procedures. Experience related to medical imaging is preferred but not mandatory; willingness to learn on the job is essential. Pay:
