Job Description:
Monitors and manages daily workflow, including patient communication, transportation, and discharge. Follows infection control standards and handles pharmaceutical waste according to training. Participates in data collection and performance improvement projects. Performs quality assurance on imaging equipment and report any issues promptly. Other duties as assigned. Performs ultrasound imaging exams on patients of all age groups, ensuring high-quality results. Operates specific imaging equipment proficiently and adhere to departmental policies and procedures. Educates and trains new technologists and students on imaging procedures and equipment use.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Individuals must possess these knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and to demonstrate that s/he can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of skills and abilities. [Required] Ability to learn and use Radiology software packages such as IDX, Radworks, Current PACS application. [Required] Ability to quickly learn and follow departmental policies and procedures. [Required] Maintain responsibility for all continuing and annual education. [Required] Must maintain all required registries and licenses to perform imaging procedures. [Required]
Education:
High School Grad or Equiv [Required] Technical/Vocational School [Required]
Field of Study:
Technical/Vocational School satisfactory completion of approved medical sonography program [Required]
Work Experience:
1+ year of experience in a hospital or private practice environment [Required]
Additional Information:

Licenses and Certifications:
Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) [Preferred] Basic Life Support•CPR Cert (BLS) [Required]

Pay Range:
