Job Description

HCA Healthcare is seeking a CT Technologist for our free-standing ER, working day shifts to deliver high-quality diagnostic imaging. You will perform CT scans following established protocols, ensure accurate image acquisition, and prioritize radiation safety and patient comfort. In this fast-paced ER environment, you'll collaborate closely with physicians and nurses, assist with emergency cases, maintain and troubleshoot CT equipment, and document in
PACS/EMR

Responsibilities Perform CT examinations according to physician orders and established protocols Ensure patient identification, screening, consent, and safety prior to imaging Administer IV contrast and monitor patients for adverse reactions Apply radiation safety principles and optimize dose for each study Collaborate with ER physicians and nurses to prioritize and complete urgent exams Maintain accurate documentation in PACS and EMR systems Perform basic troubleshooting and quality control on CT equipment Uphold infection control and regulatory standards in all procedures Communicate clearly with patients to provide comfort and reduce anxiety Support emergency and trauma cases with timely imaging services Required Skills Computed tomography (CT) imaging Radiologic positioning and protocols IV contrast administration Radiation safety and dose optimization Patient monitoring in emergency settings
