HCA Florida South Shore Hospital is seeking a diligent and skilled CT Technologist to join our team on a PRN (as-needed) basis. The position involves utilizing computed tomography (CT) scanners to capture diagnostic images of patients' internal structures, working collaboratively with the broader medical team to deliver exceptional health care services. This role requires a deep understanding of CT technology, patient care, and safety protocols to ensure the highest level of diagnostic quality and patient satisfaction. Candidates should be prepared to work in a dynamic environment and contribute to ongoing advancements in patient care. Responsibilities Operate CT equipment to produce images of patients' internal structures for diagnostic purposes. Review and evaluate developed x-rays, video tape, or computer-generated information to determine if images are satisfactory for diagnostic purposes. Communicate effectively with patients, explaining procedures, positioning patients, and adhering to safety protocols to produce optimal imaging results. Collaborate with radiologists and other medical professionals to determine the necessity of procedures and discuss findings. Maintain patient records and radiologic files, ensuring compliance with hospital policies and confidentiality protocols. Implement and monitor radiation safety measures to protect patients and staff. Perform maintenance and minor repairs on radiologic equipment, scheduling major repairs as needed.
