Multi-Modality Imaging Technologist Mammography & X-Ray South Florida Permanent & Full-Time Direct Hire Day Shift Mammography & X-Ray 1+ Year Experience Required A hospital-based imaging department located in South Florida, approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes southwest of Miami , is seeking an experienced Multi-Modality Imaging Technologist with Mammography and X-Ray experience to join its imaging team. This is a permanent, full-time opportunity for an experienced imaging professional who is comfortable performing both mammography and diagnostic X-ray procedures . The ideal candidate will have at least one year of professional experience and be able to provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced healthcare environment. Schedule Full-time, permanent position Day shift 7:00 a.m. 5:30 p.m. Four 10-hour shifts may apply Consistent daytime schedule Schedule details to be discussed during the interview process Duties & Responsibilities Perform mammography examinations according to established protocols. Perform diagnostic X-ray examinations as required. Prepare patients for mammography and radiographic procedures. Verify patient identification, clinical history, and examination orders. Obtain and document relevant patient information. Position patients appropriately for mammography and X-ray examinations. Operate mammography and radiographic equipment safely and effectively. Produce high-quality diagnostic images for interpretation. Evaluate images for positioning and technical quality and repeat examinations when appropriate. Follow established mammography and radiographic imaging protocols. Provide clear instructions and compassionate care to patients throughout examinations. Maintain accurate patient and imaging documentation. Perform quality-control procedures and assist with equipment troubleshooting. Follow radiation safety and ALARA principles. Maintain compliance with departmental, regulatory, safety, and quality standards. Protect patient confidentiality and follow HIPAA requirements. Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, nurses, technologists, and other healthcare professionals. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized imaging environment. Participate in quality improvement activities. Perform additional imaging responsibilities as assigned. Qualifications Minimum of 1 year of professional imaging experience required. Mammography experience required. X-ray experience required. ARRT certification/registry required. Appropriate Florida radiologic licensure required. Required mammography credentials/certification as applicable. BLS certification required. Associate degree in Radiologic Technology or related field required. Demonstrated ability to independently perform mammography and X-ray examinations. Strong knowledge of mammography positioning, imaging protocols, radiation safety, and image quality. Strong patient-care and communication skills. Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities. Strong critical-thinking and troubleshooting skills. Ability to work independently in a hospital-based imaging environment. Commitment to patient safety, quality imaging, and regulatory compliance.
