Category Imaging - Radiology Tech Job Type Travel Step into a dynamic healthcare environment as an Imaging - Radiology Tech and provide essential diagnostic services in a supportive clinical setting. Your expertise will play a crucial role in patient care, working alongside a collaborative medical team in this contract role.
Key Qualifications:
Current certification as a Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) Valid state license to practice as a Radiology Tech Proficient in radiographic imaging equipment, including digital X-ray and fluoroscopy Working knowledge of PACS and medical imaging software Strong understanding of radiation safety procedures Excellent patient communication and care skills Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced or high-acuity settings BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required Previous clinical experience in a hospital or healthcare facility preferred
Schedule/Hours:
Full-time, varied shifts may be required based on department needs
Primary Responsibilities:
Conduct high-quality diagnostic radiology procedures as ordered by physicians Ensure proper positioning and comfort of patients during imaging exams Explain procedures clearly to patients and address any concerns Maintain detailed, accurate records in patient files and hospital information systems Monitor equipment for proper functioning, performing basic maintenance as needed Practice strict adherence to infection control and radiation safety guidelines Collaborate closely with radiologists and referring providers for coordinated care Respond promptly to urgent imaging requests and stat orders
