Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled PRN MRI Technologist to join our imaging team. Candidate must be able to work Oct 5-9th as well as train prior. Candidate must also be able to perform x-rays on walk in patients as our office has a moderate paced environment with time between scans. In this flexible, as-needed role, you will operate the magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scanner and x-ray machine to produce detailed images of patients' internal structures, supporting accurate diagnosis and patient care. Duties Prepare patients for MRI procedures by explaining the process, ensuring their comfort, and addressing any concerns. Operate MRI scanners safely and efficiently, following all safety protocols and equipment safety procedures. Acquire high-quality images for diagnostic evaluation, utilizing knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology. Perform X-rays for walk in patients. Requirements Certification or licensure in MRI technology from an accredited program; additional certification in CT is a plus. Proven experience operating MRI scanners with proficiency in medical imaging techniques. Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and diagnostic radiology principles. Ability to perform IV insertions and maintain aseptic technique to ensure patient safety during procedures. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification to respond effectively in emergency situations. Familiarity with medical equipment operation, equipment safety procedures, and radiation safety regulations. Strong understanding of image quality requirements for diagnostic evaluation and experience working with PACS systems. Excellent communication skills to educate patients about procedures and collaborate effectively with healthcare teams.

Pay:

$45.00 - $55.00 per hour
