Traveling MRI Technologist
Job Description
Qualifications Must have successfully completed a two-year Radiology Technology/ XRAY program which is accredited by the AMA and the American Registry of Radiology Technologist. (ARRT) Certification may be shown. Must be registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist (ARMRIT) Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification Must possess the ability to grasp and apply the scientific principles related to magnetic resonance technology Clinical experience in MRI Prior experience with Siemens brand and GE scanners preferred Must understand all MRI safety standards Good communication skills Excellent interpersonal and patient management skills
MUST BE WILLING TO TRAVEL WITHIN MARIETTA, DALTON, AS FAR AS CHATTANOOGA, TN
Responsibilities Perform diagnostic magnetic resonance imaging procedures(MRI) Proactively supports efforts that ensure delivery of safe patient care and services Promotes a safe environment at Onyx Imaging Operates modality specific technical equipment related to patient care imaging, image processing, image transmission, image archiving and computerized electronic medical records Provides radiologists and physicians with patient history relative to exam being performed and obtaining informed consent Assists radiologists, as required, to ensure satisfactory patient care Collaborates with physicians, nurses, sedation/anesthesia personnel and all staff members to ensure a safe outcome for the patient Uses critical thinking principles in making decisions which lead to desired outcomes while participating in the achievement of organizational and department goals by following hospital and departmental policiesPay:
