This role performs and oversees complex CT exams, ensuring exceptional image quality, radiation safety, and compassionate care. The leader will coordinate workflow, mentor technologists, support accreditation and quality initiatives, and collaborate with radiologists and interdisciplinary teams. Responsibilities Lead day-to-day CT technologist operations for a hospital imaging department Perform high-quality CT scans following physician orders and safety protocols Oversee exam scheduling, workflow, and adherence to turnaround times Ensure compliance with radiation safety standards and regulatory guidelines Serve as technical resource for CT protocols, imaging quality, and equipment use Train, mentor, and precept CT technologists and students Coordinate with radiologists, nurses, and providers to support patient-centered care Monitor and maintain CT equipment, troubleshoot issues, and arrange service Assist with staffing, orientation, and performance feedback for team members Support quality improvement, accreditation, and documentation initiatives Required Skills Computed tomography (CT) scanning Radiologic positioning and imaging protocols Radiation safety and dose optimization Use of CT equipment and PACS/RISContrast administration and IV access Quality assurance and image review Team leadership and staff coordination Regulatory and accreditation compliance (e.g., The Joint Commission, ACR) Electronic health record documentation Patient assessment and monitoring during CT exams
