Job Description
Wellstar is seeking a CT Technologist to deliver high-quality, patient-centered CT imaging across our Georgia facilities. In this role, you'll perform CT exams using advanced technology, ensuring accurate images and safe radiation practices. You'll collaborate with radiologists and interdisciplinary teams, provide compassionate patient care, and support timely diagnoses. Responsibilities Perform high-quality CT imaging studies following physician orders and departmental protocols Verify patient identity, screen for contraindications, and explain procedures to ensure safety and comfort Position patients and operate CT scanners, contrast injectors, and related equipment accurately Assess CT images for diagnostic quality and consult radiologists regarding additional views as needed Administer IV contrast per protocol, monitoring patients for adverse reactions Document procedures, maintain accurate records, and manage PACS image transfers Ensure radiation safety by adhering to ALARA principles and regulatory standards Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and care teams to support timely diagnosis and treatment Maintain and troubleshoot CT equipment, reporting issues and coordinating service as needed Support quality improvement, continuing education, and compliance with hospital and accrediting standards Required Skills CT imaging techniques Patient positioning Radiation safety/ALARAIV contrast administration
