2987669376-2 Apply for this job now Job Description Wellstar is seeking a CT Tech to join our patient-focused imaging team in Marietta, GA. In this role, you will perform high-quality CT exams using advanced technology to support accurate diagnosis and treatment. Responsibilities include patient preparation, safe and effective operation of CT equipment, radiation safety, and accurate documentation in PACS. You'll collaborate closely with radiologists, nurses, and other clinicians, while upholding Wellstar's standards of compassion, integrity, and inclusion. Responsibilities Perform CT imaging procedures according to physician orders and established protocols Position patients and operate CT equipment to obtain high-quality diagnostic images Verify patient identity, review histories, and explain procedures to ensure safety and comfort Apply radiation safety standards, including proper shielding and dose optimization Monitor patients during and after exams, responding promptly to concerns or adverse reactions Collaborate with radiologists and care teams to support accurate, timely diagnoses Maintain and troubleshoot CT equipment, reporting issues and coordinating service as needed Accurately document procedures, maintain records, and manage PACS/image archiving Follow infection control, safety, and regulatory standards at all times Participate in ongoing education, competencies, and quality improvement initiatives Required Skills Computed tomography (CT) imaging Patient positioning and immobilization Radiation safety and dose optimization Operation of CT scanners and protocols PACS and RIS documentation IV contrast administration and monitoring Anatomy and physiology knowledge Infection control and patient safety Emergency response and patient monitoring Regulatory compliance (JCAHO, OSHA, HIPAA)
