Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Radiologic Technologist to join our dynamic healthcare team. This vital role involves performing diagnostic imaging procedures to assist physicians in diagnosing and treating various medical conditions. The ideal candidate will possess comprehensive knowledge of radiologic imaging equipment, patient care, and radiation safety procedures. They will be responsible for delivering high-quality imaging services across multiple modalities, including X-ray, CT, MRI, mammography, and nuclear medicine, within a fast-paced clinical environment. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to patient outcomes through precise imaging and compassionate care. Responsibilities Operate a variety of radiologic imaging equipment such as X-ray machines, CT scanners, MRI units, mammography systems, and nuclear medicine devices with precision and adherence to safety protocols. Prepare patients for imaging procedures by explaining the process, positioning them correctly, and ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the examination. Perform diagnostic evaluations utilizing modalities including fluoroscopy, sonography, PET scans, DEXA scans, and interventional radiology techniques. Implement radiation safety procedures diligently to protect patients and staff from unnecessary exposure. Maintain detailed documentation of procedures performed, patient information, and technical data in compliance with healthcare regulations. Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams to interpret images accurately and assist in diagnostic decision-making. Ensure all medical equipment is properly maintained, calibrated, and operated according to manufacturer specifications. Uphold aseptic techniques during invasive procedures such as interventional radiology interventions. Stay current with advancements in radiologic technology and participate in ongoing professional development. Experience Proven experience working in urgent care settings or emergency rooms is highly desirable. Prior experience performing interventional radiography procedures is preferred. Demonstrated proficiency in operating diverse radiologic imaging equipment including CT, PET scan, mammography, DEXA scan, fluoroscopy, and nuclear medicine systems. Experience working within Level I or Level II trauma centers enhances suitability for this role. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and diagnostic radiology principles. Familiarity with radiation safety protocols and implementing radiation safety measures effectively. Background in emergency medicine or trauma response environments is advantageous. Excellent patient care skills with a compassionate approach to diverse patient populations.
