Department Johnson County Family Care/UIHC Jobcode Limited Radiologic Technologis Working Title Limited Radiology Technologist - Urgent Care Details Iowa Health Care Urgent Care is seeking a Limited Radiology Technologist to perform general diagnostic radiography procedures utilizing complex imaging equipment with close patient monitoring during exam and assists the members of the nursing team in provision of multiple types of patient care in our ambulatory care areas, Urgent Care Clinics.
Duties Include:
Perform radiography procedures limited to; Chest, Extremities, Shoulder, and Spine using a variety of imaging equipment. Operate fixed radiographic equipment to produce diagnostic imaging studies. Independently obtain and record vital signs including temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure. Carries out medical asepsis when performing skills and tasks including but not limited to phlebotomy Performs routine laboratory testing including but not limited to urinalyses, rapid antigen kit tests, and various point of care tests. Performs, or may direct performance of, data entry, labeling and processing of laboratory specimens. Provided key Service Excellence principles for interactions with patients and staff. Cleans areas per designated guidelines and standards demonstrating proper use of approved disinfectants, cleaning products, and care of the housekeeping equipment. Stock and supply patient rooms and nursing units. Utilize standard safety precautions to minimize or eliminate risks to patients, personnel and equipment. Assist with monitoring supplies, maintaining quality control, monitoring radiology equipment to ensure optimal quality results, and preparing radiographic rooms in assigned areas. Availability to provide support to other clinical locations based on clinical hours/need. Other duties as assigned.

Schedule:
Sunday - Saturday, variable hours from 7:00 AM - 7:30
PM, Locations:
Iowa City & Coralville (other clinical locations as needed) Minimum Eligibility Requirements Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists with limited scope of practice in radiography. Permit to Practice as required by the State of Iowa for all radiographers operating ionizing radiation emitting equipment Desirable Qualifications Previous work or clinical education experience in general radiology is desired.
