Position Highlights The MRI/Radiology Technologist is primarily responsible for performing radiographic, computed tomography, and magnetic resonance examinations without assistance. The technologist will perform the examinations ordered that require independent judgment in applying ionizing radiation and the use of MR. The technologist shall adhere to the departments "Code of Practice" and the "Code of Ethics for MRI/Radiologic Technologist and standards set by Hegg Health Center.
REQUIRED EDUCATION
  • Graduate of an approved program of Radiologic Technology.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Annual influenza vaccinations are mandatory for all employees by December 1st, unless a medical waiver is signed and approved or religious waver is signed and approved by October 1st.
  • Completion of the Child Abuse & Dependent Adult Abuse course for Iowa Mandatory Reporters within 30 days of employment and every 3 years thereafter.
  • Current valid registry in radiography (R) and magnetic resonance (MR) with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • At least 1 year of experience working in an MRI setting with thorough knowledge of radiologic, CT and MR technology, practices and procedures, physiology and human anatomy, and safety principles and legal regulations.
  • The technologist will possess an Iowa Permit to practice.
