Radiologic Technologist Job Description Summary The Radiologic Technologist performs radiology diagnostic tests safely and effectively as ordered by the physician. Responsibilities Cross-coverage of general X-ray for Orthopaedic Surgery, Podiatry, and Rheumatology, with fluoroscopy support for Pain Management injections Performs radiology procedures in a manner to comply with state and federal regulations Assists in maintaining appropriate equipment and supplies in the department Maintains documentation of patient testing information Completes other comparable duties and assignments as directed by the Radiology Manager Assists in maintaining a clean and safe work environment Maintain a clean and safe work environment Other duties as assigned This position will primarily be based at the Gurnee location, with secondary coverage at the Lake Bluff location as needed Requirements Requirements Education Associate's degree in radiologic technology from an accredited school or two (2) years of experience in a directly related area Certifications/Licensure Valid state Radiologic Technologist license Registered Radiologic Technologist (RT) with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer certification Experience Two (2) years of experience in a directly related area preferred Technical Skills Knowledgeable in computer systems (e.g. PACS), MS Word, Excel and others Soft Skills Effective written and verbal communication Physical Requirements Stand or sit for extended periods of time Able to lift and assist patients as needed for proper positioning This description is intended to provide only basic guidelines for meeting job requirements. Base salary offers for this position may vary based on factors such as location, skills and relevant experience.
