Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Travel CT Technologist to join our dynamic imaging team on night shifts in Greencastle, Indiana. This position offers an exciting opportunity for experienced radiologic technologists to provide exceptional diagnostic imaging services across diverse clinical settings, including urgent care, emergency rooms, and specialized radiology departments. The ideal candidate will possess comprehensive knowledge of advanced imaging modalities such as computed tomography (CT), sonography, mammography, DEXA scans, and nuclear medicine procedures. Your expertise will ensure accurate imaging, adherence to radiation safety protocols, and optimal patient care in a fast-paced environment. This role is essential in supporting diagnostic evaluations for a broad spectrum of medical conditions, contributing significantly to patient outcomes. Responsibilities Operate and maintain radiologic imaging equipment including CT scanners, fluoroscopy units, ultrasound machines, mammography units, DEXA scanners, and nuclear medicine apparatus with precision and safety. Perform diagnostic imaging procedures such as CT scans, sonography, mammography, PET scans, interventional radiology interventions, and fluoroscopy in accordance with established protocols. Ensure strict compliance with radiation safety procedures and implement radiation protection measures to safeguard patients and staff. Assist in urgent care and emergency room settings by providing rapid diagnostic imaging to support emergent clinical decisions. Maintain thorough knowledge of human anatomy and physiology to optimize image quality and diagnostic accuracy. Adhere to aseptic techniques during invasive procedures and interventional radiology interventions. Collaborate effectively with physicians, radiologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive patient care. Document procedures accurately within the medical record system and communicate findings appropriately. Stay current with advancements in medical imaging technology and participate in ongoing professional development. Qualifications Certified Radiologic Technologist (ARRT or equivalent certification) with valid state licensure. Proven experience operating advanced radiologic equipment including CT scanners; experience with PET scan, mammography, DEXA scan, nuclear medicine, or interventional radiology is highly desirable. Prior experience working in urgent care centers or Level I/II trauma centers is preferred. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and diagnostic radiology principles. Familiarity with radiation safety procedures and implementing radiation protection protocols. Demonstrated ability to perform diagnostic evaluation accurately under pressure in emergency medicine settings. Excellent patient care skills with compassionate communication abilities. Ability to operate complex medical imaging equipment safely and effectively. Knowledge of medical imaging software systems and electronic health records.
