Job Description

Category Imaging - Radiology Tech Job Type Contract Step into an essential imaging role within a critical access setting, supporting patient care across clinic and emergency room environments. This contract position spans 13 weeks and requires expertise in both general radiology and CT imaging to help deliver crucial diagnostic services to the community.
Schedule:
4 shifts per week, each 10 hours (11:30am - 10:00pm) Participation in departmental call rotation required
Qualifications:
Current ARRT certification Valid state licensure Minimum of 2 years of imaging experience, including CT Proficient in both standard radiology and CT imaging modalities
Key Responsibilities:
Perform radiographic and CT procedures as ordered by physicians, ensuring consistently high-quality diagnostic results Determine and apply the correct technical factors (voltage, current, exposure time) for all procedures Properly position patients and provide clear instructions to facilitate accurate imaging Prepare and administer contrast media as indicated, following safe and established protocols Maintain up-to-date technique charts and comply with all applicable state regulations Operate portable radiology equipment throughout multiple hospital units, including ICU, cardiac care, OR, and ER Conduct preventive equipment maintenance and promptly report any operational issues Coordinate with nursing staff to verify scheduling, medication information, and patient-specific considerations Assess patient condition prior to procedures and accurately chart medications and documentation for billing purposes Engage in a role that blends technical skill with vital patient interaction.
