Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated CT (Computed Tomography) Technologist to join our medical imaging team. The CT Tech will be responsible for performing advanced diagnostic imaging procedures utilizing computed tomography technology to assist in accurate diagnosis and treatment planning. This role requires a thorough understanding of medical imaging principles, anatomy, and physiology, as well as proficiency in operating sophisticated imaging equipment. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to patient safety and care. Responsibilities Operate CT scanners to produce high-quality diagnostic images for evaluation by physicians. Prepare patients for imaging procedures by explaining the process, positioning them correctly, and ensuring their comfort. Follow strict aseptic techniques and infection control protocols during all procedures. Adjust imaging parameters based on patient condition and specific diagnostic requirements. Collaborate with radiologists, emergency medicine teams, and other healthcare professionals to facilitate diagnostic evaluations. Maintain detailed records of procedures performed, including technical settings and patient information. Ensure the proper calibration, maintenance, and safety checks of imaging equipment. Assist with specialized imaging procedures such as PET scans, DEXA scans, mammography, sonography, and nuclear medicine when required. Demonstrate knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology to optimize image quality. Adhere to all safety standards related to radiation exposure and patient care in high-acuity environments such as Level I Trauma Centers or urgent care settings. Participate in ongoing education to stay current with advancements in diagnostic radiology and emerging imaging technologies. Experience Proven experience operating CT scanners within a hospital or clinical setting. Prior work in emergency room environments or Level I trauma centers is highly desirable. Experience performing advanced imaging modalities including PET scans, mammography, DEXA scans, and nuclear medicine procedures. Knowledge of diagnostic radiology principles with an emphasis on anatomy and physiology. Familiarity with medical terminology relevant to radiologic procedures. Demonstrated ability to work efficiently under pressure in fast-paced settings such as urgent care or emergency departments. Certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or equivalent credentialing body is required. Additional experience in sonography or nuclear medicine is a plus. Pay:
