Job Description
Radiology Technologist Aide, Radiology, Flex, PRN The Radiology Technologist Aide provides non-licensed support to Imaging Services by assisting with patient flow, transport, room preparation, equipment cleaning, stocking, clerical tasks, and other duties that improve operational efficiency. The position works under the supervision of licensed radiologic technologists and does not perform duties requiring Kentucky medical imaging licensure. The Radiology Technologist Aide functions solely in a support capacity and will not independently perform diagnostic imaging procedures, operate ionizing radiation-producing equipment, position patients for imaging examinations requiring licensure, administer contrast media, or perform any other duties restricted by state law, hospital policy, or professional licensure requirement. Essential Key Job Responsibilities Transport patients safely to and from imaging areas. Assist patients with mobility and transfers under technologist direction. Prepare and turn over examination rooms between patients. Clean and disinfect imaging equipment per Infection Prevention policies. Stock linens, contrast supplies (as permitted), and department inventory. Answer phones, assist with scheduling workflow, scan documents, and maintain patient records as assigned. Maintain patient privacy and HIPAA compliance. Performs only duties within the scope of the Radiology Technologist Aide role and refers licensed imaging functions to appropriately credentialed personnel. Report patient safety concerns or equipment issues immediately. Participate in mandatory education and departmental meetings. Role Minimum Qualifications Required Education High School Diploma or GED Required Licensure and Certifications
