Job Description MRI Technologist Georgetown, KY Pay:

$28.35/hour

13 Weeks MRI Technologist Requirements Minimum of one year of recent MRI technologist experience Knowledge of MRI safety-screening and imaging protocols Ability to operate MRI equipment and obtain diagnostic-quality images Experience preparing and positioning patients for MRI examinations Knowledge of contrast-administration and infection-control procedures Strong attention to patient safety and image quality Accurate clinical documentation and recordkeeping skills Effective communication with patients, radiologists, and other clinical staff Key Responsibilities Perform MRI examinations according to physician orders and facility protocols. Complete required MRI safety screenings before each examination. Explain procedures and prepare patients for imaging. Position patients and select appropriate MRI coils and protocols. Operate MRI equipment to obtain diagnostic-quality images. Monitor patients throughout examinations and respond to safety concerns. Administer contrast when authorized and required. Review images for quality and completeness. Maintain accurate patient and imaging records. Transfer and manage images using PACS. Follow MRI safety, infection-control, and patient-care procedures. Communicate appropriately with radiologists and other members of the clinical team. Perform additional imaging duties as assigned.
