1 Description American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist with 3+ years of experience and ARRT (CT) certification for a hospital-based CT Scan department. Details Hospital-based CT Scan department 5x8 day shift schedule, Monday-Friday 8:00 AM-4:30 PM Call, weekend, and holiday coverage required Requirements Minimum 3 years of experience as a CT Technologist 1 year of mammography diagnostic experience required Associate's degree from a JRCERT-accredited Radiology Program, or military training graduate of a JRCERT-accredited program validated by active ARRT certification Current BLS certification Current ARRT Registry in Radiography RT(R) Current ARRT (CT) certification Kentucky Radiation License with the Kentucky Board of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy required if applicable Must maintain continuing education hours as required by licensing agency Additional Information Performs CT procedures, image processing, and related techniques to produce diagnostic images for radiologist interpretation Verifies patient identity, orders, and history prior to exams Performs and documents peripheral venipuncture as needed for exams Monitors patients continuously throughout exams and follows radiation protection and ALARA protocols Adjusts exam protocols for pediatric patients per ACR Image Gently guidelines Assists radiologists and providers with exams and procedures as necessary Participates in image quality assurance and peer review processes Performs equipment warm-up and quality control checks, reporting malfunctions as needed Wears assigned personal dosimetry May assist with training new employees and supervising imaging students on clinical rotation
