Job Description

Category Imaging - MRI Job Type Contract This MRI technologist role offers an exciting travel opportunity in Shepherdsville, KY, focused on delivering expert imaging services in an acute care environment. The position involves working primarily night shifts Monday through Thursday from 9 PM to 7:30 AM, supporting a patient census averaging 40 daily with approximately 6-7 scans per tech. Candidates residing within 50 miles of Louisville are not eligible to apply, emphasizing the travel nature of this assignment.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform MRI imaging procedures, particularly on neuro patients with conditions such as spine injuries, strokes, and head trauma. Provide exceptional patient care to a diverse inpatient population, including student athletes. Operate advanced MRI equipment including Siemens Sola and Verio scanners. Collaborate closely with radiologists available 24/7 and other MRI technologists; some shifts may require independent work. Utilize Cerner EMR software for documentation and patient care coordination. Adhere to department protocols and facility orientation procedures during the initial two weeks.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Minimum of 1 year of acute inpatient MRI experience. Certification with ARRT (MR) or AMRIT and valid KY license (unless grandfathered). Current BLS certification. Strong communication and patient care skills with a positive attitude. Familiarity with neuro imaging and acute patient care. First-time travelers are welcome to apply.

Scrub code:
Ceil Blue. Weekend and holiday shifts based on unit needs; no on-call duties. Time off requests require supervisor approval.
