Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated X-ray Technician to join our medical team. As an Rad tech, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic imaging examinations on patients using X-ray equipment. Your role will be crucial in helping physicians diagnose and treat various medical conditions.Duties:
- Prepare patients for X-ray procedures by explaining the process and positioning them correctly
- Operate X-ray equipment to capture images of the designated body parts as requested by physicians
- Ensure that images produced are of high quality and meet the required standards
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation of procedures performed
- Follow safety protocols and guidelines to protect patients and staff from unnecessary radiation exposure
Skills:
- Proficient in operating X-ray equipment and related technology
- Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology
- Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate positioning and image quality
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare professionals
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with radiation safety protocols and procedures
Education and Certification:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Completion of an accredited program in Radiologic Technology
- Valid certification as a Radiologic Technologist (RT) or
X-ray Technician Experience:
- Previous experience as an X-ray Technician preferred but not required
- C-Arm Experience is welcome.
