7:30a- 6:00pm | Four 10-Hour Shifts
JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for the imaging of patients undergoing surgical procedures, working directly with the surgical team and/or physicians. This employee is responsible for the safe manipulation of radiographic equipment, positioning of patients, use of radiation protection devices, selection of technical factors necessary to produce optimum quality radiographs, the tracking of patient studies and PAS acquisition of the study performed. This employee may be asked to perform any other delegated tasks related to the proper function of the Diagnostic Radiology department.EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND TRAINING QUALIFICATIONS
Must be a graduate of an accredited radiological technology program. Verified by presenting a current A.R.R.T. license, and LSRT license. Must have 2 years experience of working in an outpatient surgical facility or inpatient hospital. Current BLS certification through any International Liaison Committee on Resuscitation (ILCOR) provided courses such as but not limited to: Ochsner Health System, American Heart Association, and American Red Cross. The ILCOR course must include a manikin check off. Able to work flexible hours. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with patients of all types and ages. Must possess strong guest relations skills.PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Must possess good physical health. Some requirements include but are not limited to standing, sitting or walking for long periods of time. Lifting at least 50 pounds is required. Must be able to work with a moderate level of noise.Physical Effort required:
