Job Description

Radiologic Technologist (Part-Time, with Growth Potential) Gretna Medical Center is currently looking to hire a certified radiologic technologist for a part-time position. We are seeking enthusiastic, dynamic, and qualified candidates to work in our state-of-the-art medical center. This is a great opportunity for candidates looking for flexible hours with a rapidly expanding medical practice located only minutes away from downtown New Orleans.
Schedule:
Approximately 20 hours per week to start, with the potential to expand to full-time as clinic demand grows.
Pay:
$25.00 - $35.00 per hour, commensurate with experience.
Job Duties:
Obtains quality diagnostic images using digital radiology equipment Prepares patients for x-rays, explains procedures, and prepares room and equipment Practices radiation safety techniques to limit exposure to patients and staff Maintains knowledge of OSHA requirements related to radiologic procedures Manages patient records within our EHR system Checks supplies and assists with maintaining equipment Maintains strict confidentiality regarding protected health information (PHI) and adheres to HIPAA privacy and security policies Other related duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Graduate of an accredited Radiology Program Current ARRT certification required Current, active, unrestricted Louisiana Radiologic Technologist license Experience in a clinical setting is preferred
Physical Demands:
Position requires prolonged sitting and standing, with some bending, stooping, and stretching. Good eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity required.
