Responsibilities Operate MRI scanners safely and efficiently to acquire detailed images for diagnostic evaluation, ensuring adherence to all safety protocols. Prepare patients for imaging procedures by explaining the process, positioning them correctly, and ensuring their comfort throughout the scan. Utilize medical terminology accurately to communicate with physicians and other healthcare professionals regarding imaging results. Perform additional diagnostic imaging procedures such as CT scans, DEXA scans for bone density assessment, sonography, and vascular access techniques as needed. Maintain equipment safety procedures, conduct routine quality checks, and troubleshoot technical issues promptly to minimize downtime. Ensure proper use of Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS) for storing, retrieving, and sharing medical images securely. Follow aseptic techniques and infection control standards during all procedures to safeguard patient health and safety. Requirements Proven experience operating MRI scanners with a strong understanding of medical imaging principles and anatomy knowledge. ARMRIT certification BLS certification Proficiency in medical terminology, physiology knowledge, and diagnostic radiology practices to ensure accurate image acquisition and interpretation support. Demonstrated ability to perform IV insertions and maintain patient safety during complex imaging procedures. Familiarity with medical equipment operation, equipment safety procedures, and adherence to patient safety regulations.
