Overnight Weekend Availability Required Salary:
$83,636-$124,259 Signing Bonus Available | No Relocation Assistance Join a Team Where Your Expertise Makes a Difference We are seeking a skilled and patient-focused Radiology Technologist to perform high-quality diagnostic radiographic examinations while providing compassionate, professional care to patients. The Radiology Technologist is responsible for preparing and positioning patients, operating radiographic equipment, producing accurate diagnostic images, maintaining radiation safety standards, and supporting an efficient patient flow. The ideal candidate combines strong technical skills with excellent communication and a professional, patient-centered approach. This position requires overnight availability on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Radiographic Imaging & Patient Care Perform radiographic examinations accurately and efficiently while minimizing repeat images. Select the appropriate type and number of images needed to provide the diagnostic information required. Exercise sound clinical judgment when established imaging routines need to be adjusted based on a patient's condition or circumstances. Prepare and properly position patients for diagnostic examinations. Explain examination procedures clearly and compassionately to patients. Maintain a professional and reassuring demeanor when interacting with patients, medical staff, and other healthcare professionals. Radiation Safety & Equipment Operate radiographic equipment knowledgeably and safely. Follow established radiation safety practices, including appropriate collimation and shielding. Ensure accurate patient identification and proper identification of radiographic images. Maintain cleanliness, organization, and orderliness of the work area. Support daily processor/film sensitometry activities under the direction of the Technical Manager. Patient Flow & Department Operations Help maintain an efficient flow of patients through the radiology area. Support image quality and departmental standards under the direct supervision of the Technical Manager. Perform necessary patient-care support functions, including clerical and patient transport duties. Complete patient tracking activities accurately to support billing, report transcription, and film retrieval. Follow departmental policies, procedures, and established guidelines. What We're Looking ForRequired Qualifications Successful completion of an approved Radiologic Technology program . Knowledge and technical competency consistent with completion of an approved Radiologic Technology program. Valid Massachusetts State Radiologic Technology license or temporary license . ARRT certification or eligibility to obtain ARRT certification within one year. BLS certification required. Ability to work overnight shifts on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday . Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to effectively collaborate with patients, medical staff, and members of the radiology team. Preferred Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology preferred.
