1 Description American Traveler is hiring a Mammography Technologist with dual proficiency in X-Ray and Mammography for a teaching hospital's imaging department. Details Work in a state-of-the-art diagnostic imaging department offering MRI, CT, ultrasound, X-Ray, and mammography services Day shift schedule, 8-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM Must be willing to work weekends and evenings as needed Holiday coverage required No on-call requirements Requirements Minimum 2 years of X-Ray experience with 1 year current experience required Minimum 2 years current Mammography experience required ARRT (R) and ARRT (M) certifications required Active BLS certification (AHA) required MA Radiology license required if applicable Meditech Expanse experience highly preferred Must have own vehicle for this assignment Signed supervisory reference required from within the past two years of employment Current skills checklists for both Mammography and X-Ray required Additional Information Perform a wide variety of technical procedures requiring independent judgment and initiative to facilitate diagnosis May assume supervisory or instructional responsibilities for department personnel as assigned Demonstrate proficiency with PACS, HIS, and RIS computer systems, including CR, DR, and PACS troubleshooting Practice infection control and body substance isolation in compliance with hospital and OSHA standards Maintain patient confidentiality at all times Attend annual mandatory education including bloodborne pathogens and infection control training Must remain current with continuing education in both radiology and mammography Must be willing to work two required holiday blocks, including Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year periods with surrounding weekends No more than 5 days of RTO accepted, and all time off requests must be finalized prior to submission Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility will not be considered for this assignment First-time travelers may be considered if all scheduling and experience requirements are met
