This position offers a consistent 12-hour night shift and is ideal for a skilled CT Technologist with at least two years of experience in CT imaging. Requirements Minimum 2 years of CT Technologist experience ARRT certification required BLS through AHA required Massachusetts license required Must be available to work 12-hour night shifts Roles and Responsibilities Perform CT examinations according to physician orders and established imaging protocols. Verify patient identity, clinical history, exam indications, and relevant medical information before procedures. Prepare patients for CT procedures, explain the examination, and provide appropriate instructions. Operate and maintain CT imaging equipment safely and effectively. Administer contrast media as required, following facility protocols and monitoring patients for adverse reactions. Position patients accurately to obtain high-quality diagnostic images while maintaining patient comfort and safety. Select appropriate scanning parameters and protocols based on the patient's condition and examination requirements. Evaluate images for technical quality and completeness and repeat scans when necessary. Follow radiation safety principles , including ALARA guidelines, to minimize unnecessary radiation exposure. Monitor patients throughout examinations and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition. Maintain accurate patient records, exam documentation, and imaging information in the appropriate systems. Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to provide timely diagnostic imaging services. Follow infection-control procedures and maintain a clean and safe CT environment. Perform routine equipment checks and report equipment malfunctions or safety concerns promptly. Provide compassionate patient care, particularly for patients who may be anxious, in pain, or have limited mobility. Support emergency and inpatient CT imaging needs as assigned while adhering to established hospital protocols.
