Job Overview We are seeking a licensed, registered Radiologic Technologist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in various imaging modalities and demonstrate proficiency in providing high-quality diagnostic images while ensuring patient safety and comfort. This role is essential in supporting our medical staff in delivering accurate diagnoses and effective treatment plans. We are an Orthopedic Surgery Practice located in Columbia, MD. Our Xray Techs also Triage/Room patients for our Surgeons. This position is Full Time with almost part time hours.

- 1:00 pm, Fri 8:30am
- 2:00pm, no evenings or weekends.
We are an already great staff looking for a special person to join our team which includes a part time tech already on staff for flexibility. Duties Performs x-rays in accordance with medical provider orders; forwards images to the appropriate radiologist for over-reads; maintains x-ray equipment and adheres to safety standards. Cleans, stocks, and sterilizes equipment in addition to cleaning and preparing patient rooms for care delivery. Prepares patients for radiologic procedures. Escorts patients to dressing and x-ray rooms, provide verbal and/or written instructions, and assists patients in positioning body parts to be radiographed. Explains procedures and observes patients to ensure patient care, safety, and comfort during scan. Performs related administrative duties including completing necessary forms, labeling/developing/processing films, and maintaining procedure logs. Maintains knowledge of and appropriately enters information into the electronic medical record. Ensures radiologic equipment remains in working order. Report equipment malfunctions to Practice Administrator. Supports as back-up for clinical team members as needed by controlling patient flow, documenting vital signs in the EMR, and administering injectables. Supports the medical provider in patient examination, testing and education. Complies with all governmental and CAO/Practice guidelines, completing all assigned training by the associated deadlines. Performs other duties as assigned. Required Education & Experience Associate degree or equivalent, and completion of an approved RT program. ARRT Certification; must have Maryland, Virginia and/or DC State Licensure as applicable to the position.
- This position falls under the LIMITED Rad Tech License for the State of Maryland.
1+ year of medical office experience strongly preferred Physical Demands Must be able to sit for long periods of time and lift up to 50 pounds. Must be able to use appropriate body mechanics when making necessary transfers and helping patients with exercises. Requires frequent bending, reaching, repetitive hand movements, standing, walking, squatting, and sitting. Some heavy lifting, pushing, and pulling exerted regularly throughout a standard work shift. Adequate hearing to perform duties in person and over telephone. Requires hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity needed to operate a keyboard, medical equipment, fax machine, scanner, photocopier, and telephone. Must be able to communicate clearly to patients in person and over the telephone. Visual acuity adequate to perform job duties, including reading materials from printed sources and computer screens. Requires exposure to communicable diseases, bodily fluids, medicinal preparations, and other conditions common to a clinical environment.
