Job Description

Category Imaging - Radiology Tech Job Type Contract Step into a vital Imaging Services role specializing in Radiology and X-ray procedures at an established healthcare facility. This contract position offers an immersive experience in advanced radiologic diagnostics, supporting patient care for a diverse population.
Schedule & Assignment Details:
Monday through Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm 8-hour shifts, 40 hours per week Assignment duration: 14 weeks

Key Qualifications:
Minimum of 1 year of recent experience as a Radiologic Technologist/X-ray Tech Active ARRT-R certification Current BLS certification Proficiency using PACS and Radiology Information Systems (RIS) Strong communication and patient interaction skills
Core Responsibilities:
Perform radiologic procedures as ordered, ensuring optimal technique, accurate positioning, and adherence to safety protocols Explain examination processes and prepare patients; obtain relevant medical history as necessary Set up procedure rooms, maintain supplies, and ensure equipment is prepared for each study Select and administer intravenous contrast when required, monitoring for adverse reactions and responding appropriately Employ ALARA principles and radiation protection strategies for patient and staff safety Complete all clinical documentation and workflow in patient records, PACS, and RIS for accurate imaging data and billing Support department standards for patient confidentiality, infection control, and legal/ethical considerations Assist with onboarding and instruction of new team members or students as needed This position presents a unique pathway to enhance diagnostic imaging skills while contributing to high-quality patient outcomes in a fast-paced environment. to gain invaluable hands-on experience and make an impact through excellence in radiographic care.
