Job Description
Job Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as an X-Ray Technician/Medical Assistant, where you'll play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care through advanced radiologic imaging and clinical support. This energetic position offers the opportunity to work in diverse settings, including urgent care, emergency rooms, and trauma centers, utilizing your expertise in medical imaging, radiation safety, and patient assistance. Your proactive approach will ensure accurate diagnostics, safe procedures, and compassionate patient interactions, contributing to improved health outcomes and a positive healthcare experience. Duties Operate radiologic imaging equipment including X-ray, and DEXA scans, with precision and adherence to safety protocols Prepare patients for imaging procedures by explaining processes, positioning them correctly, and ensuring comfort throughout the exam Implement radiation safety procedures diligently to protect patients and staff during all imaging activities Assist healthcare providers with diagnostic evaluations by capturing high-quality images Maintain strict aseptic techniques during invasive procedures and radiologic interventions to prevent infections Support patient care activities such as vital signs monitoring, medical documentation, and coordinating follow-up appointments Ensure proper operation and maintenance of all radiologic equipment while adhering to radiation safety standards and protocols Requirements Proven experience in urgent care settings, emergency rooms, or Level I/II trauma centers with a strong background in diagnostic radiology and medical imaging techniques Proficiency in operating various radiologic imaging equipment including X-ray machines, and DEXA scanners Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and diagnostic evaluation methods to accurately perform imaging procedures Familiarity with radiation safety procedures and implementing radiation safety protocols effectively Hands-on experience with interventional radiography and interventional radiology procedures is highly desirable Ability to work efficiently under pressure in fast-paced environments while maintaining high standards of patient care and safety Certification or licensure as an X-Ray Technician or Medical Assistant with relevant state or national credentials; additional certifications such as sonography or mammography are a plus Strong interpersonal skills to communicate clearly with patients of diverse backgrounds and collaborate seamlessly with healthcare teams Join us in making a difference through cutting-edge medical imaging and compassionate patient support!
